I stayed in Souvenir guest house in Kathmandhu last april. This is really good place. The owners Madan and Samjana reserved me a very nice welcome. That place is like a small paradise in Thamel. If you need family style and peacefull place then you can go there. You can find different rooms big or small: all are very clean! Prices are good. If you need any informations Madan and Samjana can arrange for you everything. I used to stay in many places in Thamel, but now I find the best, hope you will experiment also, then you will see!

I want to tell you about my lovely time I had, last Januari/Februari, in Souvenir Guesthouse. It was my first time in Nepal and Madan(owner of geust house) came to pick me up from the airport, he had to wait for like two hour’s but he did wait and I was so glad because I didn’t know what to expect. Later his wife Samyana gave me a warm welcome at the guest house. I had a small room, but everything I needed I could ask, and so cheap. The Souvenir Guesthouse was my base in Nepal, and every time I went to other places in Nepal and when I came back, it felt like home. At the end of my trip I really felt me a part of the family, and I still do. It was my first trip to Nepal but it won’t be my last, and when I return, my basecamp will be Souvenir.

I have been at Souvenir Guest House in august 2001 and it is still in my heart. I will never forget the pleasant time spent there. I have been in some well-known luxurious hotels around the world but SGH is the only place where, at the moment of leaving, I head tears in my eyes!
